Edward was terribly lonely. He was always tending to the garden, and spending an enormous
time alone inside the old mansion's attic. Edward didn't like to go outside very much, nor did anyone
wander far enough to see him. He was afraid.
Today was somehow different. Like always, Edward tended to his hedges. He had a small faint smile
on his scarred up face. He trimmed away until he heard a noise; someone had opened the gate.
In a sudden flush of fear, Edward hid behind a hedge, poking his head just a tad to see who it was.
"H-Hello...?" he said rather shyly.
